Having grown up without limitless money, Chung Zak did not run a successful business. Within a few years, most of the money he had brought with him had run out. Still living in Macau with 5 children, Yun Nan relied on the little money he sent back each month to make ends meet.As a child, Yip Hang remembered when it' was the end of the month and the messenger was on his bike to deliver the month's money, she would listen out for the clinking of the jars containing the treats her father had sent and would run up the road to greet the messenger. Another memory she recalls vividly was the nuns who ran the missionary school she and her sisters attended, using the universal sign of money by rubbing their fingers together asking for their school fees, which were always late.
