After 7 years of working at Jardine, Bunnan felt confident that he has learnt everything he needed to learn and in 1935, started his own trading companies with two German traders. They imported goods such as rare earth metal, animal skins and tea from China and exported them abroad. After the liberation of China in 1949, merchants with money came to Hong Kong in droves and opened factories here. The Company started exporting these goods.
